Hunter Russell is not your typical tree care specialist. Born in Jax Beach, Jacksonville, he’s travelled the world before deciding to put down roots and take care of trees in his hometown.
Hunter’s adventure started in Japan, took him to England, and then to Fallon, Nevada, where he graduated high school. But Jacksonville’s charm pulled him back home, and with his uncle’s advice, he started working in tree services.
Like a player learning every move in a new sport, Hunter started as a ground man. With hard work, he climbed his way up the ranks, learned everything he could, and became a master climber. Now he’s one of the best in the business, all thanks to his seventeen plus years on the job.
But what sets Hunter apart? He’s got a big heart for his family and the homes he works in. He’s married to his love, Stacey Russell, and he understands how important home is. An amazing father of 3 children which include Hogan, Rylnn and Zayden along with the family pets, shows you how big of heart this man has for everything he does and works on. Hunter and his crew arrived on time to our appointment to trim the tree in the front of our house. Hunter called it giving our tree a hair cut. They were professional, efficient and safe. Great experience! Russell and team removed a good sized live oak from our front yard, then replaced the sod. They had to work through lots of roots but got it done. The crew was professional, positive and efficient, and did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day. Six weeks in, the sod looks beautiful and healthy! Highly recommend!

Russell Tree Service came to our home to trim trees along our back fence and to trim 3 palm trees in the front yard. This is the first time we had our palm trees trimmed professionally and this company did an AMAZING job! I called Russell Tree Service to order a truckload of firewood delivered and stacked in my sons house on Sat evening. The firewood was delivered on Monday and neatly stacked in my sons log holder. The wood was good hardwood and the price was also good. Hunter the owner and his girlfriend Stacy were not only professional but very nice to do business with. My son has disabilities and could not help but said Stacy jumped right in and both were very sweet to my son and even tightened the loose bolts on the log holder as he couldn’t Thank you both so very much 🙏 I will be calling them again and highly recommend Russell Tree Care Karen Holder
